Role at a glance
We are searching for a Senior Purchasing Manager to oversee our procurement operations. This is a full-time, on-site position based in the United States. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our engineering and production teams have exactly what they need to continue innovating in the aerospace sector.
Your impact
- Lead procurement strategy: You will collaborate closely with our production team to forecast supply needs, manage lead times, and maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Manage supplier partnerships: You will be responsible for sourcing and qualifying new vendors, conducting audits, and negotiating contracts to ensure we receive the highest quality materials at the best value.
- Drive cross-functional success: By working alongside our engineering and operations departments, you will ensure that all purchased components meet our rigorous technical specifications and regulatory standards.
What you'll need
To be successful in this role, you should have a solid background in purchasing, ideally within the aerospace or automotive industries. We are looking for someone who brings the following to the table:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in procurement, including a strong grasp of strategic sourcing and contract negotiation.
- Proven expertise in using ERP systems and other procurement software tools.
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulatory requirements such as ITAR, EAR, and DFARS.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Strong communication skills, with a focus on building lasting relationships with both internal teams and external suppliers.
- Professional certifications like CPSM or CPPM are considered a plus.
