We are Terraline, and we are building the first battery-electric heavy truck designed from the ground up to support both human and autonomous drivers with a range exceeding 500 miles. Our team is composed of industry veterans with deep experience in electric and autonomous vehicle development, including significant work on Tesla and Waymo Class 8 trucks. We are looking for a skilled Prototype Technician Fabricator to join our cross-functional team in the United States, where you will collaborate with engineers, designers, and technicians to bring our vision of the future of trucking to life.
What you'll be doing
- Construct and deliver a variety of physical systems and prototypes, ranging from small mechanical assemblies and test fixtures to advanced next-generation powertrains and full-scale vehicle builds.
- Support prototyping efforts across all engineering disciplines, ensuring projects are completed on time and meet strict technical specifications.
- Act as a subject matter expert as our team expands, providing mentorship to junior staff while maintaining a hands-on approach to solving complex mechanical and electrical challenges.
What you'll bring

Your background should include:
- A proven track record of building large, complex prototypes such as vehicles, ships, or aircraft.
- Extensive expertise in both electrical and mechanical fabrication, specifically with electric powertrains and propulsion systems.
- The ability to translate sketches and concepts into functional hardware, combined with strong troubleshooting skills to debug prototypes and test equipment.
- A high school diploma or equivalent, though an Associate degree or technical certification from an accredited automotive institution is preferred.
- Fluency in English and a commitment to maintaining a safe, orderly, and efficient shop environment.
What you'll get
We believe in supporting our team members with a comprehensive benefits package designed to provide security and peace of mind. As a full-time member of our team, you will have access to:
