Jito.wtf is looking for a Protocol Engineer
At Jito Labs, we are building the high-performance distributed systems that power the future of Solana. As the creators of the Jito-Solana client and the Jito Block Engine, our infrastructure currently supports 88% of the network stake and 1,100 validators, generating over $370M in additional revenue for the ecosystem. We are a profitable, nimble team looking for a Senior Protocol Engineer to help us solve complex challenges at the cutting edge of blockchain technology.
Responsibilities
- Architect and develop Solana programs using both native and Anchor programming models.
- Write code that is secure, performant, and highly reliable.
- Create comprehensive test plans and documentation for your work.
- Develop robust testing infrastructure to ensure all code adheres to strict specifications.
- Collaborate closely with our team and customers to share knowledge and improve our internal tooling.
- Take full ownership of features and products from the initial design phase through to final delivery.
- Analyze performance bottlenecks and debug complex issues across the entire technical stack.
Must-haves
- At least 5 years of professional experience in systems programming using Rust, C, or C++.
- Proven experience writing Solana programs using native methods or the Anchor framework.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- A track record of simplifying complex design problems into elegant solutions.
- Previous experience working within a small startup environment of fewer than 50 people.
- Fluency in English.
Nice-to-haves
- A background in security research or auditing.
- Deep knowledge of the current DeFi landscape.
