At Relativity Space, we are working toward two ambitious goals. We are building the next great commercial launch company with our Terran R rocket, and we are establishing ourselves as the leader in additive manufacturing innovation. Our long-term vision is to build an industrial base on Mars, which will help expand the possibilities for humanity. We design, build, and fly rockets right here on Earth to deliver payloads to orbit. By joining our team, you will help us transform this vision into reality while working alongside a community of creative and passionate people.
What is this role?
We are looking for a Project Management Intern to join our team on an on-site basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a student currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering who wants to gain hands-on experience in the aerospace and manufacturing sectors. You will work within our Additive Technology team, which focuses on the Stargate 3D-printing platform and the factory operating system used to create large-scale metal structures.
What will you do?
- Create and maintain comprehensive project plans, which include managing schedules, budgets, and project requirements.
- Coordinate across various departments, such as weld engineering, supply chain, and materials processing, to support our prototyping and production efforts.
- Identify potential project risks early and implement proactive strategies to mitigate them while keeping stakeholders informed and satisfied.
What makes you a great fit?
You are a self-starter who enjoys solving complex problems and is comfortable wearing many hats. We are looking for someone who is currently finishing their degree in Mechanical Engineering and has a strong interest in program management. You should be comfortable working in fast-paced, collaborative environments and have experience using project management tools like JIRA or Smartsheet. While not required, it is a plus if you have familiarity with additive manufacturing, metal processing techniques, or previous engineering experience in the aerospace, energy, or maritime industries. Proficiency in English is essential for this role.
What's in it for you?
For this internship, the pay range is 52,000 USD to 56,000 USD. In addition to your compensation, we provide several perks to support your growth and well-being:
- Paid time off.
- An annual learning budget to help you continue developing your skills.
