Imagine walking into a workspace where every day is about turning complex ideas into tangible results. We are a dedicated team of engineers who take pride in our ability to streamline operations and drive meaningful growth. Our mission is to support the backbone of our production environment, ensuring that every project we touch meets the highest standards of quality and efficiency. We are currently looking for a talented individual to join us as a Project Engineer, someone who thrives on collaboration and enjoys the challenge of seeing a project through from its very first spark to final completion.
The opportunity
As our new Project Engineer, you will act as a vital bridge between our project management team and the engineering department. Your role is designed to provide hands-on support to our leadership, including the Project Manager and the Director of Engineering. You will be the person who keeps the gears turning, ensuring that our initiatives are well-defined, properly budgeted, and executed with precision. This is a full-time, on-site position based in the United States, perfect for a mid-level professional who is ready to take ownership of diverse engineering projects.
A day in the life
- You will collaborate with project requestors to define initial requirements, determine if projects fall under capital or expense budgets, and perform preliminary Return-On-Investment analyses.
- You will take the lead on smaller projects under $50,000 by designing, budgeting, drafting, and creating Visio charts, while managing the entire timeline through MS Project.
- You will handle the essential administrative flow of our work, including managing purchase orders, change orders, cost control tracking, and invoicing to ensure every project is documented from initiation to closure.
Who you are
We are looking for someone who communicates clearly and works well with team members at every level of our organization. You should be comfortable working under pressure, managing multiple tasks at once, and meeting tight deadlines. Your background should include:
- Strong proficiency in Project Management and Engineering principles.
- Experience with Cost Control and financial tracking to ensure projects remain on budget.
- Technical skills in Visio for documentation and layout.
- Fluency in English to ensure effective communication across all departments.
Why you'll love it here
We believe in fostering a culture of teamwork and professional growth. By joining us, you become a key player in a company that values quality and continuous improvement. We offer a dynamic environment where you will have the chance to serve as an owner representative on construction projects and contribute directly to our annual capital budget preparation. You will find that our team is supportive, our goals are clear, and the work we do has a lasting impact on our plant operations.
