We are CB Civil, an award-winning civil engineering and construction firm focused on delivering high-quality infrastructure across New Zealand. We specialize in three waters, rail, structures, and land development, and we are looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join our team for a full-time, on-site role as we tackle an exciting pipeline of projects throughout 2024.
Responsibilities
- Support our Project Managers and Supervisors in the coordination and control of daily site operations.
- Manage technical reviews, engineering administration, and site inspections.
- Oversee project scheduling, planning, and procurement processes.
- Maintain rigorous standards for QHSE planning and compliance.
- Exercise strong cost control and commercial management of construction budgets.
- Facilitate effective stakeholder management and promote our core company culture.
- Utilize survey data and benchmarks to guide the construction of permanent works.
Must-haves
- A degree in Civil Engineering.
- At least 8 years of relevant professional experience.
- Advanced proficiency in design software like AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project for scheduling and planning.
- Expertise in reading complex drawings, plans, and Inspection Test Plans.
- Proven commercial acumen regarding forecasting and project budgeting.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Fluency in English.
