CB Civil is looking for a Project Engineer

Full Time Senior On-site New Zealand Engineering Construction Autocad Civil 3D Microsoft Project Planning Cost Control Stakeholder Management Procurement Scheduling English Relocation assistance

We are CB Civil, an award-winning civil engineering and construction firm focused on delivering high-quality infrastructure across New Zealand. We specialize in three waters, rail, structures, and land development, and we are looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join our team for a full-time, on-site role as we tackle an exciting pipeline of projects throughout 2024.

Responsibilities

Support our Project Managers and Supervisors in the coordination and control of daily site operations.
Manage technical reviews, engineering administration, and site inspections.
Oversee project scheduling, planning, and procurement processes.
Maintain rigorous standards for QHSE planning and compliance.
Exercise strong cost control and commercial management of construction budgets.
Facilitate effective stakeholder management and promote our core company culture.
Utilize survey data and benchmarks to guide the construction of permanent works.

Must-haves

A degree in Civil Engineering.
At least 8 years of relevant professional experience.
Advanced proficiency in design software like AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project for scheduling and planning.
Expertise in reading complex drawings, plans, and Inspection Test Plans.
Proven commercial acumen regarding forecasting and project budgeting.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Fluency in English.
