About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer for a full-time position. In this role, you will serve as a vital link between our cross-functional teams and our Korean-speaking stakeholders. You will manage project schedules, oversee business requirements, and ensure that all technical information is communicated accurately and efficiently to keep our construction efforts on track.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate a wide range of technical construction documents, including design drawings, contracts, building permits, and safety manuals, while maintaining consistent terminology.
- Provide high-quality simultaneous interpretation during business meetings and site events to ensure seamless collaboration among all project participants.
- Support administrative and operational needs by managing reports, maintaining records, and assisting various departments with their specific language requirements.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental, or Fire Protection Engineering is preferred, though an equivalent combination of education and experience is also welcome.
- At least three years of professional experience in translation, specifically within the construction industry.
- Native-level fluency in both English and Korean.
- Strong familiarity with technical construction jargon and regulatory terminology.
- Proven experience in project management and stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency in the MS Office Suite and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Location
This role is based in the United States. You will initially be located in Tempe, Arizona, with a transition to Peoria, Arizona. While this is an on-site position, there is occasional flexibility to work from home.
