Key outcomes

• Evaluate equipment specifications and performance in partnership with our procurement team to advance our technological capabilities.
• Develop production estimates for energy storage and photovoltaic systems using specialized software or internal modeling tools.
• Manage the due diligence process with independent engineers, which includes reviewing reports, energy assessments, and handling contract management.
• Provide technical expertise for critical agreements, such as power purchase, interconnection, and engineering procurement and construction contracts.
• Design conceptual site layouts and systems for energy storage and solar projects.
• Perform value engineering to analyze how design alternatives impact the financial performance of our projects.
• Maintain high standards for project timelines and deliverables while staying current on emerging energy assessment techniques and industry technologies.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of engineering experience, specifically within utility-scale energy storage or photovoltaic projects.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and a willingness to master our internal software, tools, and processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with third-party consultants and internal teams.
• A foundational understanding or the ability to learn programming, specifically Python and SQL database management.
• Fluency in English.
