What is this role?
We are seeking a Project Engineer with an electrical focus to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a mid-level position that offers a hybrid work environment, with the flexibility to work from anywhere or from our office in Boise, Idaho. You will play a vital role in the lifecycle of our solar and storage projects, providing technical expertise from the initial development phase through construction and long-term asset management.
What will you do?
- Perform detailed energy production estimates and conceptual system designs for utility-scale solar and energy storage projects using industry-standard software.
- Manage the independent engineer due diligence process, which includes reviewing technical reports and coordinating with external partners to ensure project success.
- Collaborate with our procurement team and equipment suppliers to evaluate new technologies and drive innovation across our project portfolio.

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in engineering and a passion for renewable energy. We are looking for someone who meets the following criteria:
- A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of professional experience specifically within utility-scale photovoltaic or energy storage project engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly master our internal design and modeling tools.
- A solid understanding of technical equipment specifications, energy modeling techniques, and project management principles.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex technical details to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- A self-motivated mindset with the organizational skills to manage competing priorities and resolve design-related challenges.
