ELFIN Engineering and Solutions GmbH is looking for a Production Engineer
At ELFIN Engineering & Solutions, we specialize in connecting top-tier talent with leading companies in the engineering and IT sectors. We are currently looking for a Senior Production Engineer to join our client, a prominent player in the automotive and mechanical engineering industry, at their facility in Wuppertal, Germany.
Responsibilities
- Improve the technical availability of production systems by utilizing performance metrics and continuous improvement processes.
- Perform methodical analyses of process deviations and implement effective optimization strategies.
- Partner closely with the maintenance team to respond quickly and efficiently to production process issues.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation and knowledge management systems.
- Analyze cost variances and initiate corrective actions to maintain financial goals.
- Collaborate across departments, including quality, procurement, logistics, and production, to ensure alignment.
- Guarantee a competitive production environment by focusing on quality, cost efficiency, and operational flexibility.
Must-haves
- A completed university degree or technical certification in electrical engineering, automation, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or a related field.
- Extensive professional experience in production engineering, maintenance, or plant engineering.
- Proficiency in structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D reporting, PDCA, or Six Sigma DMAIC.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both German and English.
- A genuine interest in working directly on the factory floor to address technical challenges.
- Familiarity with OT and MES systems, including experience with data acquisition.
- A proactive mindset with a strong sense of personal responsibility.
