What is this role?

We are seeking a Product Validation and Characterization Engineer to join us on a full-time, on-site basis in our Edinburgh office. This position is designed for a student who is ready to contribute to a collaborative, cross-functional team. You will play a vital part in our new product introductions and post-silicon validation processes, helping us ensure our high-performance chips deliver industry-leading power efficiency and functionality.

What will you do?

• Perform bench testing, debugging, and characterization of embedded on-chip circuitry, such as amplifiers and data converters, to verify performance against datasheet specifications.
• Design, develop, and debug board-level hardware for silicon validation, ensuring platforms are ready for first silicon arrival.
• Create and maintain automated test frameworks and regression suites using Python to improve the efficiency and reliability of our validation processes.

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong academic background and a passion for engineering. We are looking for the following qualifications and skills:

• A BSc, MSc, or MEng degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• Solid knowledge of analog, digital, power electronics, or audio engineering, including experience with mixed-signal building blocks like ADCs, DACs, and PLLs.
• Proficiency in scripting languages, with a strong preference for Python, to assist with test automation and data analysis.
• Excellent analytical and diagnostic skills, paired with the ability to communicate effectively within a team environment.
• A proactive approach to organizing tasks and meeting project timelines.
• Fluency in English.
