Role at a glance
We are looking for a Senior Product Security Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco, where our team works from the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with the flexibility to work from home on Mondays and Fridays. This position is open to candidates within the United States.
Your impact
- Partner with our product teams to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring we can continue to ship innovative features at high speed.
- Design and implement automated security controls and monitoring systems that can scale alongside our infrastructure.
- Develop and deploy new security-focused features directly into our product while participating in our security team's on-call rotation.
What you'll need
- At least 5 years of experience in software engineering, with a minimum of 3 years specifically in product security within a fast-paced tech environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- A proactive mindset and a bias toward action, as we value engineers who identify problems and build their own solutions.
- A passion for staying current with security trends and sharing that knowledge with your teammates.
- Proficiency in English.
- Bonus points if you have experience securing large-scale Ruby on Rails applications.
