At Oscar, we are reimagining the health insurance experience by building a full-stack technology platform that truly puts our members first. Since 2012, we have been working to create the kind of insurance company we would want for ourselves, acting more like a trusted family doctor than a traditional provider. We are looking for a Product Operations Manager to join our team and help us ship better products faster as we continue to refactor the healthcare industry.
Role at a glance
This is a full-time, mid-level position based in our New York City office. As part of our commitment to a blended work culture, this role is hybrid, requiring you to spend part of your time working on-site and part of your time remotely. You will report directly to the Senior Product Operations Manager and work closely with our Claims domain to optimize infrastructure and software configuration.
Your impact
- Take ownership of key product delivery processes, including feature launches, bug triage, and quality assurance planning, while ensuring our scrum teams operate at peak efficiency.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with Product, Engineering, Design, and Data Science teams to drive department objectives and solve complex challenges.
- Analyze existing workflows and data to identify bottlenecks, then design and implement scalable process improvements that enhance overall quality and speed.
What you'll need
- At least 3 years of experience in a cross-functional role within the technology or operations sectors.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience working directly alongside engineers and designers, including at least 2 years specifically with engineering scrum teams.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, along with at least 1 year of hands-on SQL experience.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to independently manage projects, navigate competing stakeholder priorities, and document processes for long-term sustainability.
Perks and compensation
The base pay for this position ranges from $119,200 to $156,450 per year. In addition to your salary, you will be eligible for company equity grants, annual performance bonuses, and the following benefits:
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- 401k plan participation.
- Life and disability insurance.
- Paid time off and wellness programs.
- Hybrid work environment.
