Polaroid has a history rooted in the vision of Edwin Land, who believed we should only pursue projects that are both profoundly important and nearly impossible. After the original company closed its final factory in 2008, a dedicated group of enthusiasts formed The Impossible Project to preserve the magic of instant film. Today, we have reclaimed the Polaroid name and operate as a focused, passionate team. We are committed to empowering creators around the world, and we invite you to help us shape the future of this iconic brand.
The role
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our team in the Netherlands on a full-time, on-site basis. In this role, you will be a vital part of a cross-functional group that determines what we build, how we build it, and how we share our story with the world. We need a strategic thinker who can manage our product portfolio to drive growth, ensure our customers are delighted, and foster habitual usage of our products.
Core responsibilities
- Lead the full product life cycle, from identifying new opportunities to managing the launch of products that align with our business strategy and market trends.
- Take ownership of our go-to-market execution, which includes defining positioning, setting pricing, enabling our sales teams, and tracking performance after launch.
- Act as the primary advocate for our customers by using market research and competitive analysis to inform every stage of the product development process.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this position, you should possess the following qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in product management or a similar role, ideally within the consumer electronics industry.
- A bachelor’s degree in a field such as business, marketing, or engineering.
- Strong analytical capabilities, specifically regarding pricing strategies, market research, and competitive analysis.
- A proven history of creating effective go-to-market plans and successfully launching new products.
- Experience managing a product P&L while balancing innovation, investment, and operational costs.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead global teams without direct authority.
- A genuine passion for creativity, photography, and the Polaroid brand is considered a significant asset.
- Fluency in English is required.
Compensation and benefits
We offer the opportunity to work with a legendary brand in a small, high-impact environment where your contributions directly shape our future. We provide a collaborative culture that values innovation and strategic thinking.
