At Sublime, we are working to transform the way the world builds by replacing 200-year-old, carbon-intensive cement manufacturing methods with our breakthrough, electrochemical technology. Our process operates at near-ambient temperatures to produce high-quality, low-waste cement and critical minerals. With the support of the U.S. Department of Energy, major private investors, and global industry leaders, we are building a team dedicated to advancing material science and sustainable construction for the next millennium.
The role
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our team in a full-time capacity. This is a hybrid role based in Somerville, Massachusetts. You will be instrumental in expanding our product portfolio beyond our core cement offering, working at the intersection of our business and technical teams to define the future of our product roadmap.
Core responsibilities
- Conduct deep market research and customer discovery to identify new opportunities and prioritize our future product offerings.
- Create and maintain detailed product requirements and backlogs to guide development cycles effectively.
- Serve as the central point of truth for product planning, coordinating across engineering, R&D, and business development teams to manage interdependencies and define our path to market.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should bring a strong technical background and a proven ability to navigate the complexities of a startup environment. Our requirements include:
- At least 6 years of experience in product management, ideally within hardtech sectors like chemicals, semiconductors, foodtech, or industrial technology.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as chemistry, physics, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or material science.
- A track record of successful customer discovery and cross-functional collaboration between technical and business teams.
- Strong organizational skills, a structured approach to problem-solving, and excellent communication abilities.
- Comfort with ambiguity and a proactive, hands-on mindset as we scale our operations.
While not required, an MBA or experience in the cement, concrete, or specialty chemical industries is considered a significant asset.
Compensation and benefits
We believe in fostering a flexible work environment and are pleased to offer hybrid work arrangements to support our team members.
How to apply
If you are passionate about sustainable innovation and ready to help us redefine the future of construction, we invite you to submit your application. Please ensure you have the legal right to work in the United States, as we will require proof of eligibility during the hiring process.
