Product Manager at Recidiviz

Recidiviz is looking for a dedicated Product Manager to join our fast-moving team. We are a mission-driven organization focused on building technology that helps safely and equitably reduce prison populations. By working closely with criminal justice leaders and leveraging data-driven insights, we strive to create healthier communities and improve outcomes for those within the justice system. We are seeking a collaborative individual who is comfortable navigating complex, early-stage product environments and scaling solutions that make a genuine difference.

Key outcomes

• Define and execute the long-term product vision and strategy for a core area of our platform.
• Coordinate cross-functional efforts across engineering, design, data analysis, and partnerships to ensure high-impact delivery.
• Develop a deep understanding of criminal justice data and the nuances of the system.
• Manage relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders, ranging from justice system agents to impacted individuals.
• Launch new features, monitor their real-world impact, and iterate based on performance and feedback.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional experience in product management.
• Proven ability to take products from zero to one, including navigating undefined problem spaces.
• Experience building consumer or enterprise platforms that incorporate developer tools like APIs and SDKs.
• Strong familiarity with functional areas such as engineering, UX/UI, legal, and finance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel for work approximately 1 to 3 times per quarter.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States, as visa sponsorship is not available.

Preferred qualifications

• Prior experience working with government end-users.
• Direct familiarity with the United States criminal justice system.

Compensation

The salary for this position is $135,000. We maintain standard, equitable compensation levels across our organization and do not negotiate offers. Our benefits package includes:
