We are CarbonChain, a Series A startup dedicated to solving the climate crisis by providing industrial-strength software that automates carbon footprinting for global supply chains. We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our team in the United Kingdom to help us scale our platform as we support major commodity traders, banks, and manufacturers in their transition to net-zero.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering, data science, and sales teams to align our product roadmap with market needs.
- Conduct user interviews with industry leaders, such as Heads of ESG, to deeply understand their challenges.
- Synthesize complex requirements into actionable user stories and platform functionality.
- Guide the development of our carbon accounting solutions by balancing technical, commercial, and environmental factors.
- Facilitate cross-functional alignment to accelerate the delivery of high-impact product features.
- Provide expert guidance to clients on decarbonization KPIs and emissions management.
Must-haves
- Proven experience building technical software products within high-growth environments.
- Strong ability to lead and influence engineering teams toward shared goals.
- Fluency in data analysis and the ability to make evidence-based product decisions.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
- A demonstrated track record of evaluating trade-offs and prioritizing product initiatives effectively.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience as a founder or entrepreneur.
- Background in designing data platforms that generate actionable insights and drive product innovation.
- Prior technical experience in engineering or data science roles.
- Knowledge of carbon accounting and decarbonization strategies.
- Familiarity with financial institutions, particularly in the commodity trade finance sector.
