About this Role:

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to craft world-class experiences for our clients (restaurants) and consumers (food enthusiasts) helping us achieve our mission to level the playing field for independent restaurants.

Our Product team plays an integral part in understanding our customers biggest pain points, and finding ways to creatively solve their problems whilst ensuring commercial viability. We collaborate closely across, product, design, engineering and commercial to create industry-leading products that deliver value for consumers and the business.

In this role, you’ll be on, leading one of our Product groups. You’ll play a critical role in optimising, improving and scaling our consumer ordering platforms so that we continue to be a leading provider of world class ordering solutions for our restaurant clients. You should be passionate about our product processes and practices. Alongside team leadership, you’ll support our VP of Product and Head of Product Design to embed our Product Operating Model. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a product management role and have more than 4 years experience.

Responsibilities:

Leading a Product Team:

• Leading our Product Consumer Growth Team alongside our Tech Lead and Product Designer.
• Setting the vision and strategy for this team and developing solutions that balance feasibility, desirability & viability.
• Collaborate closely with other product teams across Flipdish

Building a Strong Product Culture:

• Be an advocate for product thinking, cultivating an environment that helps our product people to thrive within Flipdish and drive value for our users, always advocating for outcomes over outputs
• Build on our Product Operating Model and ensure alignment with our Design & Engineering operating models
• Lead the way in AI by incorporating it into your product development processes and design practices.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering Managers, Principal Engineers & Design Leadership to ensure alignment across the disciplines
• Bring a creative approach to discovering and solving users' problems. You’ll need to be comfortable striking the balance between the need for discovery, and pragmatic decision making based on your experience.
• Excellent commercial awareness
• Operate comfortably with individuals at every level of seniority, from C-suite executives to junior engineers.
• Be an advocate for our Product Management community externally, whether that be blogs, conferences, events and anything in between. We want to build our presence within our local product management communities.

Experience:

• 4+ years of product management experience, ideally in a start up —> scale up environment.
• You make data driven decisions by having a great ability to absorb and apply data to your day-to-day work and you know when enough data is enough for you to make a decision.
• You are confident in your presentation skills and are able to communicate to various stakeholders clearly.
• You have a track record of building consensus and delivering results with cross-functional teams.
• You have experience working through problems with high ambiguity and without a definitive answer.
• You have excellent organization and prioritization skills.
• You have experience with or a passion for incorporating the AI in ways that will benefit our clients and deliver value.
• You’re solution-oriented, and able to help the team push through obstacles and blockers to deliver value for our users.
• You have experience shaping product direction and execution based on customer needs.
• You have a hands-on approach, with a passion for diving into the details and working alongside teams to up-skill and coach.
• Deep understanding of product thinking.
• You get a kick out of seeing other develop, you love helping others develop their product craft.
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams across the business.
• Collaborative, pragmatic, and outcome-focused approach to work.
• If you are more of a technical PM, this would be an advantage in this role.

• You like working on your own, we operate a team first approach and value collaboration and working in the open above everything else.
• You are hesitant to challenge ideas; we need someone who is passionate, and will advocate for solving users' problems. You need to be comfortable standing your ground!
• Influencing others presents a challenge for you.
