Betterment is a leading, technology-driven financial services company dedicated to improving the financial lives of our customers. We provide comprehensive investing and retirement solutions for retail investors and financial advisors, alongside financial wellness tools for businesses. Our team is based in New York City, and we are currently seeking a Senior Product Manager to join our Money Movement and Insights team. This is a hybrid role, requiring in-office attendance at our NYC headquarters three days per week, specifically Tuesday through Thursday.
Key outcomes
- Lead the strategy and execution for our cash transfer and investment management features.
- Translate complex financial pain points into user-friendly, feasible product solutions.
- Collaborate with design, engineering, and marketing teams to launch features that solve customer problems.
- Drive cross-functional alignment with operations and customer-facing teams to ensure seamless product delivery.
- Analyze product data, conduct user research, and implement A/B testing to inform roadmap decisions and measure success.
- Coordinate with external partners to manage key functionalities like account aggregation and verification.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Product Manager with a successful track record of launching and iterating consumer products.
- Strong analytical skills combined with a creative approach to problem-solving.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize effectively and balance competing needs across a cross-functional organization.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong, lasting relationships with stakeholders and subject-matter experts.
- High level of organization and attention to detail when working across web and mobile platforms.
- Passion for creating customer-centric experiences and a strong interest in financial services.
- Fluency in English.
Preferred qualifications
- Prior experience working with personal finance products.
- Experience operating within highly regulated industries.
Compensation
The base salary range for this position in New York City is $105,000 to $125,000. This role may also be eligible for variable compensation through a company incentive bonus. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
