Percona is a leader in open-source database technology, providing innovative solutions for MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and MariaDB to users around the world. We are looking for a senior-level Product Manager to join our remote-first team and lead the strategy for our global services portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the product vision and strategy for our Global Services offerings.
- Conduct market research and customer analysis to identify new opportunities and service needs.
- Manage the full product lifecycle, from initial incubation to sunsetting.
- Design new service products and enhance existing ones to improve the customer experience.
- Lead product launches, including managing pricing, SKU updates, and internal education.
- Drive the adoption and growth of our services while tracking performance metrics like revenue and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to bridge the gap between software and service experiences.
- Act as an evangelist and sales support resource to help secure strategic customer partnerships.
Must-haves
- At least five years of experience in product management, ideally focused on service offerings within a software ecosystem.
- A solid background in open-source software, services, and community engagement.
- Proven ability to use data and metrics to drive decision-making.
- Experience working effectively within a geographically distributed, remote team.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with both internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Fluency in English.

- Hands-on experience with database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
- A deep understanding of the challenges users face when deploying open-source databases.
- Strong public speaking abilities to effectively evangelize our products.
- Experience working in a start-up or scale-up environment.
