Our team is built on over a decade of expertise in electric propulsion, drawing talent from industry leaders like NASA, Boeing, and Lockheed Martin. We foster a culture defined by creativity, ambition, and collaboration, and we are currently looking for a Product Manager to lead our defense initiatives. In this on-site, full-time role, you will be instrumental in shaping our defense product strategy, translating complex customer requirements into actionable engineering goals, and guiding our solutions from initial concept to successful deployment.
Key outcomes
- Create and execute comprehensive product roadmaps that align with our defense business objectives.
- Perform deep-dive market and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities within the defense sector.
- Act as the primary bridge between engineering, business development, and external stakeholders to ensure product success.
- Author detailed Product Requirements Documents and collaborate with engineering teams to finalize technical specifications.
- Apply your knowledge of military standards and solicitations to guide product development when direct customer feedback is limited.
- Formulate and implement go-to-market strategies, including pricing and positioning for defense applications.
- Represent our organization at industry conferences and government agency meetings to gather insights and advocate for our technology.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related STEM discipline.
- At least 4 years of experience in product management, ideally within the aerospace or defense sectors.
- A demonstrated history of managing the full product development lifecycle.
- Strong capability in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex, multi-faceted projects.
- A comprehensive grasp of defense market dynamics, regulatory environments, and customer needs.
- Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to drive decisions based on data.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to senior leadership and clients.
- Proven success in launching products and executing go-to-market plans.
- U.S. Citizenship is mandatory for this role due to government contract requirements, and you must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Preferred qualifications
- An MBA or an advanced degree in a relevant technical or business field.
- An existing, active security clearance.
- Direct experience working with Department of Defense programs and customers.
- Detailed knowledge of defense acquisition regulations, such as FAR and DFARS.
- Experience managing the transition of defense products from concept to active deployment.
- A strong professional network within government agencies and the broader defense industry.
- Proficiency in technical copywriting and product marketing.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
