Product Manager, Data Science at CB Insights

We're looking for a Product Manager to lead our Data Science efforts at CB Insights, where we turn massive volumes of structured and unstructured data into clear technology insights that power decisions for the world's leading companies and investors.

Responsibilities

• Own the Data Science product mission by setting priorities, maintaining the roadmap, running agile ceremonies, and aligning work with company strategy.
• Spot new ways to apply data science across data acquisition, extraction, search, recommendations, classification, predictive models, and commercial insights.
• Assess the business value of potential projects and rank them by customer and commercial impact.
• Strengthen our AI and machine learning development processes with clear stakeholder alignment and decision-making.
• Guide initiatives from early ideas through development, testing, and launch.
• Set success metrics for each project and track progress against broader mission goals.
• Explain technical outcomes to non-technical audiences across the organization.
• Champion the Data Science team with product, engineering, other departments, and the wider market.

Must-haves

• At least three years of product management experience and five years of total professional experience in a big data setting.
• Strong data analysis skills and high proficiency with SQL.
• Previous work in a product or analytical role tied to data science.
• Working knowledge of artificial intelligence concepts, including machine learning and natural language processing.
• Deep user empathy supported by continuous discovery practices.
• Structured, quantitative decision-making with a focus on commercial value.
• Experience defining and measuring developer and user engagement strategies with clear metrics.
• Track record of shipping products from concept to delivery in fast-growth environments.
• Strong communication skills demonstrated with both customers and executives.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
• Fluency in English.

Benefits

This role offers a salary range of $105,000 to $133,000 USD. In addition to base pay, the position includes eligibility for a bonus opportunity.
