This role is for EtherWAN, a Phoenix Contact Company. The selected candidate will be an EtherWAN employee. 

Synopsis

The Cloud and Hardware Product Manager – plays a crucial role in the development and integration of hardware and software solutions for the EtherWAN product line. This role focuses on TRUE SOLUTIONS for our target audience and involves designing, implementing, and optimizing innovative technologies to enhance EtherWAN’s product portfolio. Objectively, this role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware and cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Work with dev team to develop and launch a unified cloud platform for the product portfolio
  • Deeply understand the target markets and the specific needs of users in those markets
  • Develop case studies for the Transportation and Public Safety vertical markets
  • Gather market research, customer feedback and stakeholder input to arrive at a strategic product plan
  • Write functional specifications, customer value propositions statements, and expected benefit or loss (if not implemented) of a product or application concept.
  • Develop and maintain product strategy and roadmap, and communicate strategy to appropriate internal stakeholders
  • Manage the entire lifecycle of the product line including product concept, design, sample production, testing, forecast, cost, mass production, spec/feature additions and modifications, and product end of life.
  • Enhance the user experience with better utilities, menus and functions
  • Ensure quality by collaborating with QA/QC and factories
  • Set prioritization and work with product development teams in setting product release deadlines
  • Ongoing communication on product’s progress to executives, sales team, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with the Marketing department to finalize marketing, technical, promotional, and PR material required for product launches.
  • Develop training material and provide training to sales and technical teams.
  • Travel and participate in market activities such as standards meeting, specialty trade shows, conferences, key customer visits, and forums to gain closer access to customer and industry trends.
  • Up to 20% travel, including international travel.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years product management experience with technology products. Experience in product development or product marketing as an alternative.
  • Demonstrates the ability to deliver results by providing solutions or supporting others in solving problems, prioritizing tasks, and/or resources, and focusing on outcomes.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and capable of seeing projects through to completion
  • High level of accountability, ownership, and planning capabilities, communicates with transparency and integrity
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented to minimize errors in tasks
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams, collaborative
  • Experience with cloud technology and product is a plus
  • Experience with API integration is a plus
  • Experience in vertical markets such as transportation, security, energy, or process automation is a plus
  • Proficient with CRM, Microsoft Visio, & MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Essential Job Functions

  • Must be able to travel via airplane for up to 14 hours
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel via automobile for up to six hours at a time
  • Must be able to travel overnight
  • Must be able to sit for 4 hours at a time
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Comply with company attendance and dress code policies and guidelines.
  • Regular and on-time attendance.

Base salary: $90,000 - $125,000. Compensation information is made available in good faith. EtherWAN & Phoenix Contact USA reserves the right to adjust ranges based on candidate’s experience, location and internal & external equity.
