Product Manager, Banking and Payments at Synctera

At Synctera, we are building the future of FinTech by providing an end-to-end Banking as a Service platform. Our solution integrates APIs, compliance support, and bank partnerships to help companies launch and scale financial products like bank accounts, debit cards, and lending services. We are looking for curious, driven individuals to join our fast-growing team and help us expand the FinTech ecosystem. Please note that while all our roles are remote, you must be authorized to work in the US or Canada to be considered for this position.

Key outcomes

• Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for our Payments and Ledger solutions to drive operational efficiency.
• Translate stakeholder needs into clear requirements and user stories for the development team.
• Prioritize projects to ensure maximum impact while coordinating resources for successful product launches.
• Utilize data analytics to inform decision-making and measure the success of new features.
• Engage directly with early-stage FinTech partners and banks to ensure successful product adoption.
• Identify and mitigate business risks while ensuring all products meet regulatory compliance standards.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies and effective product positioning.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in customer discovery and product positioning within the banking and payments sector.
• Proven track record in product management, specifically regarding ledger capabilities and payment rails.
• Strong understanding of banking operations, including lending, deposits, and debit card solutions.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• A collaborative mindset with a focus on team growth and cross-functional success.
• Proficiency in navigating regulatory requirements and risk management in financial services.
• Professional fluency in English.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience working within the US and Canadian financial markets.
• A solid technical background.
• Previous experience in a B2B environment.
• Experience thriving in the fast-paced nature of a startup.

Compensation

The salary range for this full-time position is $195,000 to $235,000 USD. In addition to competitive pay, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
