At GiveDirectly, we are dedicated to reshaping how the world gives by delivering cash directly to people living in poverty. Our Product team is central to this mission, as we identify new program areas and deepen our impact through double-sided products that serve both our recipients and our donors. We are currently seeking a Product Lead at the Director level to join our team. This role is responsible for assembling and leading cross-functional groups to drive the development, optimization, and scaling of our initiatives. You will work across fundraising, program implementation, and research and technology to bring end-to-end solutions to market. Please note that while this position is fully remote, you must be able to overlap with the East Africa timezone by at least three hours. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for the U.K. or U.S. at this time.
Key outcomes
- Set a multi-year vision and clear quarterly goals for your product portfolio, including defining key milestones to track progress.
- Design and build effective products by defining programmatic features, selecting necessary technology, and collaborating with internal and external partners.
- Provide support for fundraising efforts by conducting market assessments and assisting with key donor relationships.
- Assemble and motivate high-performing, cross-functional teams to achieve common objectives through strong influence and operational alignment.
- Monitor product implementation closely in partnership with programs teams to troubleshoot issues and identify areas for improvement.
- Travel to program sites up to once per quarter for one to two weeks to ensure hands-on understanding of our operations.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of professional experience in product management, program development, or business partnerships.
- Proven leadership ability with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
- Experience working within a distributed, multicultural environment.
- Strong analytical skills with an iterative mindset and a clear framework for prioritization.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to negotiate and present effectively to diverse stakeholders.
- An entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to flex between high-level vision and detailed, data-driven problem solving.
- Deep alignment with our mission, our values, and a commitment to recipient dignity and empowerment.
- Proficiency in English.
Compensation
We are committed to generous and equitable pay, utilizing third-party data to ensure our total compensation packages align with the 75th percentile of similar organizations. Our base salary offerings are as follows:
- United States: $154,400
- Kenya: $120,000
For candidates based in other locations, we will provide a country-specific salary benchmark during the interview process. In addition to base pay, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:
