Product Engineer at Roam

What is this role?

We are looking for a Lead Product Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in the United States. This is a senior-level position for someone who wants to shape the technical foundation of our platform. You will be a key part of our engineering team, balancing high-level technical strategy with hands-on development work.

What will you do?

• Design and build the core technical systems that power our assumable mortgage products.
• Take direct responsibility for delivering large-scale technical projects that drive our business forward.
• Act as a mentor and leader for other engineers, helping to grow our team and maintain high standards of quality.

What makes you a great fit?

We are looking for someone who is bold, self-directed, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You should have at least 4 years of engineering experience, ideally helping a company navigate the journey from an early stage through significant growth. You will be a great fit if you possess the following:

• Strong proficiency with Elixir, Phoenix, and PostGIS.
• Experience working with real estate or geographic data is a significant advantage.
• A player/coach mentality, meaning you are comfortable writing code while also thinking strategically about our product roadmap.
• A bias for action and the ability to handle ambiguity with a sense of urgency.
• Excellent communication skills in English to work effectively across our cross-functional team.
