Picture a small but growing team of curious builders who believe the browser can be more than a window-it can be a true companion for the way we live, work, and explore online. At The Browser Company we’re creating Dia, a fresh browser experience with an AI assistant at its heart, and we’re now bringing that same thoughtful design to Windows users everywhere.
The opportunity
As a Product Engineer focused on Windows, you’ll play a central role in shaping how Dia feels and performs for hundreds of thousands of people on the platform. You’ll combine deep craft in desktop interfaces with a genuine love for polished, intuitive software, guiding the product from early architecture decisions through to the small details that make an application a joy to use every day. Your work will help ensure Dia feels native on Windows while staying true to the vision we’ve already brought to life on other platforms.
A day in the life
- You’ll lead UI development for Dia on Windows, translating platform conventions and modern frameworks into interfaces that feel instantly familiar yet thoughtfully crafted.
- You’ll collaborate daily with Design, Infrastructure, and Data teammates to weigh technical trade-offs, refine architecture, and keep performance, memory use, and compatibility in balance.
- You’ll contribute to product discussions, review code with peers, respond to real-world feedback from the team’s dogfooding channel, and step in during on-call rotations when incidents arise.
Who you are
You bring seven or more years of experience shipping high-quality Windows applications and a practiced eye for the details that turn good software into great software. You’re fluent in C++ or a comparable language and comfortable working with XAML, WPF, UWP, or WinUI, always keeping the end user in mind. You value clear communication, enjoy sharing your Windows expertise with others, and are excited to learn from teammates across disciplines. Because our core hours run from 11 AM to 2 PM Eastern Time, you have at least four hours of overlap with colleagues in that zone. English is the primary language we use to collaborate.
Why you'll love it here
The salary range for this role is $250,000-300,000 USD, and every offer includes three flexible compensation structures so you can choose the cash-to-equity balance that fits your life. Beyond pay, we cover 100 percent of medical, dental, and vision premiums for employees and up to 95 percent for dependents, offer a 401k plan, and provide twelve weeks of paid parental leave. Our flexible vacation policy means most teammates take 15–20 days each year in addition to local holidays. You’ll receive a $1,500 home-office stipend, and U.S.-based employees gain access to additional wellness services such as One Medical, Talkspace, Teladoc, and HealthAdvocate. We’re a remote-first team of close to 100 people, with the option to gather in our Brooklyn office, and we’re united by a shared belief that diverse perspectives make our products stronger.
