Product Engineer at Speakeasy

The role

We are seeking a Senior Product Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a remote position where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the tools that developers rely on every day. As a member of our tight-knit group of 20, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by building foundational technology that powers the first interactions end users have with an API.

Core responsibilities

• Design and build sophisticated developer tools using Go and TypeScript, leveraging LLMs to enhance our product experience.
• Develop and maintain managed SDKs and other developer surfaces that serve as the public face of our customers' APIs.
• Collaborate on our React-based web interface to ensure our configuration tools remain intuitive and powerful for our users.

Skills and experience

We are looking for a polyglot engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a deep sense of technical ownership. You should be comfortable working across the entire stack and eager to dive into new technologies.

• Proven experience building developer tools, infrastructure products, or internal platform engineering solutions at scale.
• Strong proficiency in Go, TypeScript, and React.
• Deep understanding of API lifecycles and the practical realities of maintaining them.
• Familiarity with OpenAPI, GitHub workflows, and the creation of SDKs.
• A bias toward action, with the ability to move from design discussions to functional prototypes quickly.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
