Product Engineer at CoinTracker

We are backed by over 100 million dollars in venture capital from top-tier investors and are currently seeking a Senior Product Engineer to help us scale our impact.

Key outcomes

• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to define roadmaps and deliver exceptional user experiences.
• Take full ownership of features from initial prototyping and exploration through to final launch and iteration.
• Design and build scalable, high-quality systems that address complex challenges in architecture and performance.
• Enhance our codebase and infrastructure by balancing rapid development with rigorous testing and engineering best practices.
• Provide technical leadership by driving architectural decisions and participating in the growth of our engineering team.
• Develop our core crypto accounting subledger, including the refinement of a complex rules engine for automated journal entries.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional experience as an individual contributor in software development.
• Strong foundation in computer science, specifically regarding algorithms, data structures, system design, and distributed systems.
• A startup mindset characterized by resourcefulness, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in ambiguous environments.
• Proficiency in writing high-quality, secure, and well-tested code.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to discuss both technical details and high-level strategy.
• Commitment to our mission of making cryptocurrency accessible and secure for everyone.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote setting with availability during our core hours of 9 AM to 12 PM PT.
• Fluency in English.

Preferred qualifications

• Prior experience building products and engineering systems from the ground up.
• Familiarity with our current stack, which includes Python, React, GraphQL, Docker, Terraform, and GCP, though we welcome candidates eager to learn new technologies.

Compensation

The starting salary for this role is between 146,000 and 175,000 USD. Your location does not impact this range, and final compensation is determined based on your unique skills, education, and professional experience. In addition to salary, you will receive equity in CoinTracker and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) participation, life insurance, and paid time off.
