At Zen, we are on a mission to transform the education sector. Schools currently spend billions on agency staff, with a significant portion of that budget lost to recruitment agency fees. We have built an alternative platform that connects schools directly with vetted teachers and support staff. Since our launch in 2017, we have already saved schools over £10 million, allowing those funds to be reinvested into school budgets and teacher salaries. We are a fast-growing team looking for passionate individuals to help us continue this meaningful work.
What is this role?
We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid position based out of our office in London near the Oval. You will play a pivotal role in our product function, helping us shape the future of our platform while working in a high-growth environment that values both personal and professional development.
What will you do?
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary delivery team to enhance our core platforms and software services.
- Conduct in-depth customer research to inform your design decisions, wireframes, and prototypes.
- Partner closely with developers and product managers to build design systems and ensure that high-quality designs are successfully brought to production.
What makes you a great fit?
You are a top performer with a growth mindset and a genuine passion for building products that create a positive social impact. You have a strong bias toward action and excellent people skills that allow you to communicate effectively with both customers and internal teams. Your background should include:
- Extensive experience in UX/UI design, including wireframing, high-fidelity mock-ups, and applying design thinking to complex business problems.
- Proficiency with Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite.
- A history of creating products with a focus on high-quality design and user experience.
- Bonus points if you have knowledge of HTML, CSS, or Sketch.
What's in it for you?
We offer a competitive salary range of £50,000 to £65,000. Beyond the compensation, you will enjoy a variety of benefits designed to support your well-being and career growth:
- Hybrid work arrangements and 25 days of holiday.
- Life insurance and health insurance coverage.
- Company ownership opportunities and 1-1 coaching.
- Access to our central London office, which includes an on-site gym, café, yoga classes, bike parking, and showers.
- Additional perks such as an electric car scheme and a cycle-to-work scheme.
