Finch began when our founders, Nino and Steph, wanted to address their own struggles with anxiety and depression by making self-care more accessible and enjoyable. Since launching in 2021, we have grown into a profitable company that has supported over 20 million people on their mental health journeys. We are a small, passionate team dedicated to responsible growth, and we are looking for someone who shares our commitment to building tools that foster genuine well-being.
The role
We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a remote position, open to candidates anywhere. You will play a vital role in shaping how our users interact with our platform, balancing the needs of a wellness app with the engaging mechanics of a game. We need someone who is comfortable navigating the intersection of mental health and mobile design to create experiences that are both impactful and delightful.
Core responsibilities
- Design playful, high-fidelity flows and interactions that integrate mental health exercises with gaming mechanics, while prototyping solutions for complex product challenges.
- Develop intuitive design patterns and evolve our existing design system to ensure consistency and scalability as our product grows.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, product management, and our character design and animation teams to balance creative vision with business goals and development speed.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in creating consumer mobile applications at scale. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- At least 4 years of professional experience in product design.
- A proven ability to simplify complex, ambiguous concepts into accessible user flows that provide immediate value.
- A sharp eye for visual polish, UI design, and interaction design, with a creative approach to building user delight.
- A pragmatic mindset that balances high-quality craft with the practical realities of shipping products quickly.
- Proficiency in Figma and a collaborative approach to incorporating feedback into your design process.
- Experience in game design, illustration, or coding is considered a significant advantage.
Compensation and benefits
We are committed to supporting our team members both personally and professionally. Our benefits include:
- The flexibility of remote work.
- Dedicated support for your professional development.
