At 5X we are building a unified data platform that combines ingestion, warehousing, modelling, orchestration and BI into one easy-to-use stack. Our goal is to give small and medium businesses a complete solution instead of asking them to piece together dozens of separate tools. Founded in 2020 and now 70 people strong across the USA, Singapore, UK and India, we help teams cut their total cost of ownership by up to half while offering full-stack support for strategy, analytics and AI/ML.
What is this role?
We are hiring a Senior Product Designer to join us on a full-time basis. The position is fully remote and open to candidates located anywhere. You will lead our design team while continuing to design and ship work yourself, so the role blends leadership with hands-on execution.
What will you do?
- Design and refine day-to-day workflows for data teams so their time inside the product feels productive and enjoyable.
- Create and evolve a living design system that embodies our “simple but superb” philosophy and keeps 5X visually distinctive.
- Align design language across product, marketing and research so every customer touchpoint reflects the same brand experience.
What makes you a great fit?
You bring at least six years of product-design experience in B2B SaaS and feel at home with data tooling and the modern data stack. Your portfolio shows strong visual-design craft alongside deep product intuition, and you can clearly communicate and influence both engineering partners and customers. You thrive when collaborating closely with engineers to deliver beyond expectations, and you enjoy mentoring junior designers while championing design thinking across the wider organisation. Fluency in English is essential.
