Product Cost Manager at Rondo Energy

At Rondo Energy, our mission is to eliminate 15% of global CO2 emissions within the next 15 years. We achieve this by deploying our proprietary, low-cost Rondo Heat Batteries, which allow industrial processes to decarbonize by utilizing intermittent renewable energy. These batteries provide continuous, high-temperature heat at an unprecedented 98% efficiency. We are currently seeking a Senior Product Cost Manager to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity to help us refine our cost estimation systems and drive product optimization as we scale our global operations.

Key outcomes

• Oversee cost estimation for our entire global product line.
• Design and refine systems for documenting and tracking product cost estimates.
• Coordinate inputs from diverse stakeholders, including finance, supply chain, and project delivery teams.
• Identify and quantify opportunities for cost reduction while managing uncertainty.
• Develop and communicate cost implications for field-to-factory initiatives.
• Manage sub-contractors tasked with validating cost data and documentation systems.
• Conduct site visits to project locations, supplier facilities, and customer sites.
• Support the development of project proposals by providing scalable and accurate cost projections.

Requirements

• Expertise in understanding industrial-scale mechanical, electrical, and civil systems, including the costs associated with their design, procurement, and construction.
• Subject matter expertise regarding industrial equipment such as pumps, blowers, piping, electrical controls, insulation, and industrial buildings.
• Proficiency with cost estimation software and systems.
• Strong grasp of industry benchmarks and work breakdown structures.
• Proven ability to manage stakeholders and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
• Comfort navigating uncertainty, with the ability to generate high-level estimates supported by research and iterative problem-solving.
• Fluency in English.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience working across multiple functional areas, such as supply chain, project development, and cost estimation.
• Specific experience with battery-related projects and a strong understanding of customer delivery requirements.
