Are you passionate about using technology to transform the lives of small-scale farmers? At Apollo Agriculture, we are an agri-fintech leader dedicated to helping farmers across Africa increase their profits and adopt sustainable practices. By combining artificial intelligence with automated operations, we provide farmers with the financing, high-quality products, and expert advice they need to scale their businesses. With over 200,000 customers and support from global partners like Bayer and Softbank, we are looking for a dedicated individual to join our mission and help us continue our rapid growth.
What you bring
We are looking for a Mid-Level professional to join us in a Full Time capacity as a Product Assistant (Agronomy) based on-site in Zambia. In this role, you will act as a bridge between our product team and the farmers we serve, ensuring that our agricultural solutions are both effective and accessible. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Conducting field-based research to gather insights that directly inform the development of innovative products for smallholder farmers.
- Developing and delivering high-quality agronomic training programs for our field officers.
- Providing expert, actionable advice to farmers and internal teams to resolve product-related inquiries and improve farm outcomes.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should possess a strong background in agricultural sciences, evidenced by at least a Diploma from a recognized institution, though a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. We are looking for someone with over two years of experience in farmer advisory, agricultural sales, or research, specifically at the grassroots level. You must have a deep understanding of diverse farming practices in Zambia and be comfortable using Google Docs and Google Sheets to manage data and communications. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential, as you will need to communicate complex technical information clearly in English and either Nyanja or Bemba. We value candidates who are eager to learn, considerate listeners, and truly committed to making a positive impact on the agricultural community.
What we offer
We pride ourselves on fostering a dynamic, collaborative environment where talent is nurtured and every team member is empowered to take ownership of their work. We believe in transparency, autonomy, and the importance of solving hard problems together. While we tackle challenging projects, we also ensure that our team members are supported through a culture that values honesty and mutual respect. Our environment is designed to help you grow professionally while contributing to a mission that changes lives.
How to Apply
If you are ready to apply your agronomic expertise to help farmers thrive and want to be part of a fast-paced, innovative team, we would love to hear from you. Please submit your application to join us at Apollo Agriculture and help us shape the future of farming.
