At Vay, we are redefining the future of transportation through our innovative remote driving technology. Since our launch in 2018, we have become the first company to operate commercial driverless vehicles on public roads in both Europe and the United States. We are currently scaling our fleet rapidly, and we are looking for a Procurement Specialist to join our team on a full-time basis in Germany. This hybrid role is perfect for someone who wants to help us build the infrastructure for a global mobility service that delivers cars to customers with zero hassle.
Responsibilities
- Manage the execution of purchase orders for specific commodity groups to ensure our procurement plans remain on track.
- Maintain consistent communication with our suppliers to monitor order status, resolve delivery challenges, and ensure all parts arrive on schedule.
- Oversee stock levels and coordinate replenishment activities to prevent any disruptions to our engineering and production workflows.
Requirements
- A degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- One to three years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations, including relevant internships.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills to manage complex documentation and logistics.
- Effective communication and negotiation abilities when interacting with external vendors.
- Fluency in English is required, while proficiency in German or Mandarin is considered a significant advantage.
- An interest in or familiarity with automotive systems and manufacturing supply chains is highly valued.
