Process Engineer at Meati Foods

What is this role?

We are seeking a Process Engineer to join us on a full-time, on-site basis. This is a mid-level position designed for someone who wants to serve as a technical lead and subject matter expert. You will play a vital role in our capacity expansion efforts, helping us scale our manufacturing operations through creative engineering solutions and hands-on project management.

What will you do?

• Apply your engineering expertise to select manufacturing equipment and optimize our food production and packaging processes to improve overall efficiency and quality.
• Lead the design and specification of production systems, including instrumentation and controls, while providing training to our operators on new processes.
• Manage capital projects by developing budgets and schedules, overseeing installations, and executing validation phases like IQ, OQ, and PQ to ensure successful startup and commissioning.

What makes you a great fit?

To succeed in this role, you should have a background in biochemical or chemical engineering, along with at least three years of experience in the food manufacturing industry. We are looking for someone with a strong grasp of automated production systems and packaging technologies. Experience with Clean-in-Place (CIP) and Sterilize-in-Place (SIP) systems is highly valued, as is a solid understanding of project management and process optimization. You should be a strong communicator who enjoys working in a team environment. If you have extra experience with PLC programming, Lean Six Sigma, or AutoCAD, that is a fantastic bonus, but we encourage you to apply even if your background does not align perfectly with every listed qualification.
