About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join our team in a full-time, on-site capacity. In this role, you will focus on optimizing our machining processes, including manual and CNC turning, milling, and grinding. You will lead projects aimed at reducing rework, boosting efficiency, and increasing overall throughput while ensuring all work adheres to strict regulatory and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate repair processes and engine components to resolve technical issues, ensuring all solutions are both economically viable and high in quality.
- Collaborate with production managers to develop and execute plans that improve repair efficiency and reduce component turn times.
- Create and revise essential work instructions, tooling, and fixturing to facilitate production and support the implementation of new materials or technologies.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, you should possess a strong technical background and a proactive approach to problem-solving. We require the following qualifications:
- A four-year degree in an engineering or technical field, such as Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a high school diploma combined with at least five years of manufacturing experience.
- Proficiency in interpreting complex technical documentation, including blueprints, FAA regulations, and OEM repair manuals.
- A solid background in machining, including CNC programming, as well as experience with continuous improvement and process implementation.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to team members across all levels of the organization.
