What you bring
We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer (Downstream) to join our CMC team on a full-time, hybrid basis. Based out of our Seattle, WA office, you will play a vital role in designing and developing downstream processes that are scalable, robust, and efficient for both clinical and commercial manufacturing. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Applying your expertise in purification operations, such as chromatography and viral filtration, to support technology transfer and the scale-up of manufacturing processes.
- Collaborating with external CDMO partners to provide technical guidance and resolve process-related issues.
- Providing essential floor support and person-in-plant oversight during development and GMP manufacturing campaigns.
Requirements
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated professional with a B.S. degree in an engineering or scientific field, though an M.S. or Ph.D. is a plus. You should bring at least four years of industry experience in purification process development, characterization, or manufacturing. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of downstream unit operations for biologics, along with familiarity with cGMP requirements, FDA guidelines, and ICH standards. You should be comfortable working with statistical design of experiments, quality by design principles, and technical documentation. We value candidates who possess excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive both independently and within a dynamic, cross-functional team environment.
What we offer
We are committed to fair compensation and offer a salary range of $100,000 to $115,000 for this position, based on experience and market data.
