We are searching for a talented Private Label Category Manager to join our team for a 12-month fixed term contract. Key outcomes
- Take a lead role in nurturing and growing the Pams brand, which is a staple in households across Aotearoa.
- Manage the full lifecycle of a portfolio of own brand products within our business.
- Utilize customer insights and market trend data, including tools like Nielsen and dunnhumby, to guide your decision-making and product development.
- Create and propose category strategies that align with our core brand promises and regional requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with regional category managers and internal stakeholders to secure support for your strategic initiatives.
- Lead project teams using an agile approach to deliver category action plans and achieve measurable results.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of your assigned categories at the market, product, and supplier levels to identify opportunities for value engineering and supply chain improvements.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience in FMCG product or category management.
- Strong commercial acumen paired with a genuine passion for high-quality product development.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex data insights clearly.
- A solid understanding of how a cooperative retail model functions.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while leading teams with a coaching-focused style.
- Fluency in English.
- Relevant experience in the New Zealand or international FMCG retail or food industry is highly regarded.
