The opportunity
As Privacy Manager – Privacy by Design you will strengthen how privacy is built into every product we release. Your work will guide engineering and product teams so that privacy considerations are present from the first sketch through launch. By embedding these practices across our development process you help us deliver technology that customers and communities can trust.
A day in the life
- You lead privacy reviews for upcoming product launches, creating data flow diagrams and conducting data protection impact assessments to identify and reduce risks before release.
- You expand our Privacy by Design program so it stays tightly integrated with the software development lifecycle, giving teams the right level of support at the right time.
- You partner daily with legal, customer support, product, and engineering colleagues, offering clear guidance on privacy and data protection questions that arise during development.
Who you are
You bring at least eight years of hands-on experience in privacy and data protection, including reviews of complex, cloud-based products. You are comfortable working across legal, product, sales, and operations teams, and you communicate complex requirements in writing and in conversation with equal clarity. A solid understanding of cloud software and services helps you translate privacy rules into practical engineering guidance. Familiarity with standards such as ISO 27701 or the NIST Privacy Framework, along with exposure to AI governance, is welcomed. Experience in the public sector, especially with law enforcement or judicial bodies, is a plus, as is active involvement in the wider privacy community.
