What is this role?
We are looking for a Principal Structural Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a senior-level position that requires extensive experience and professional registration. You will work in a hybrid capacity, contributing your expertise to our diverse range of projects within the process industrial and power sectors.
What will you do?
- Take the lead on designing complex structures, including deep and shallow foundations, underground concrete vaults, tunnels, and various steel support systems.
- Serve as a Design Lead for small projects, which involves managing a team of engineers and designers, overseeing project budgets, and developing manhour estimates.
- Collaborate directly with clients during the proposal and scope development phases, while also providing mentorship to junior staff and assisting with field construction issues.
What makes you a great fit?
To be successful in this role, you should have at least 15 years of experience in the process industrial or power industries and hold a professional registration such as a PE or SE. You must possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Architecture. We are looking for someone who is proficient in AutoCAD and RISA-3D, and who has a strong command of Microsoft Office. Because you will be creating structural evaluation reports and communicating with clients, your written and oral English skills must be excellent. You should be comfortable working in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
