We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. At Tebra, we serve as the digital backbone for practice well-being, helping over 100,000 providers modernize care and grow their independent practices. By combining the strengths of Kareo and PatientPop, we are building a future where healthcare is more accessible and efficient. In this executive-level role, you will act as a key technical leader, balancing hands-on development with strategic architectural oversight to solve complex problems and drive our engineering standards forward.
Responsibilities
- Lead architectural decision-making processes and write high-quality code to address critical technical challenges.
- Partner across multiple engineering teams to ensure organizational alignment and deliver successful project outcomes.
- Mentor team members by providing actionable technical feedback and establishing best practices for the entire engineering organization.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should possess extensive experience in software engineering and technical leadership. We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
- At least 12 years of software engineering experience, including 8 or more years in a technical leadership capacity.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, PHP, and JavaScript.
- Experience working with frameworks like Vue, React, Flask, and SpringBoot.
- Strong knowledge of MySQL databases and cloud platforms, specifically AWS.
- The ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences and perform deep assessments of new technologies.
