Welcome to PatientPoint, where we are dedicated to empowering better health through innovation. As a leader in the digital health space, we connect patients, providers, and life sciences companies with vital information right when care decisions happen. Our network reaches across 35,000 physician offices, impacting the health journeys of over 750 million patient visits every year. We are looking for passionate individuals to join our mission and help us continue to influence positive patient behaviors nationwide.
What is this role?
We are searching for a Principal Software Engineer to join our team in a full-time capacity. This is a lead-level position that offers the flexibility of working remotely from anywhere in the United States. In this role, you will be a key technical leader, helping us architect and build the next generation of our digital health solutions.
What will you do?
- Design and architect resilient, scalable software solutions by leveraging Java, Python, and AI/ML technologies within cloud environments.
- Lead the development of event-driven microservices and implement robust data streaming solutions using platforms like Apache Kafka or AWS Kinesis.
- Establish a security-first culture by ensuring all software adheres to strict compliance standards and by deconstructing complex projects into maintainable, high-value systems for the broader engineering team.
What makes you a great fit?
To succeed in this role, you should have extensive experience in the SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS industries, specifically working with major public cloud providers like AWS, GCP, and Azure. We are looking for someone with a deep understanding of Twelve-Factor App methodology, containerization, and modern software design patterns. You should be comfortable working with both SQL and NoSQL databases, such as Postgres, MongoDB, and DynamoDB. Proficiency in English is required, along with a strong background in data privacy, security protocols like OAuth2, and AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow. A bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least five years of progressive experience, including three years in a principal-level role, will prepare you well for these responsibilities.
What's in it for you?
We value the expertise you bring to our team and offer a salary of $210,000. Beyond compensation, we support our full-time team members with a variety of benefits designed to help you thrive:
- Remote work flexibility with hybrid options.
- A 401k retirement plan.
- Flexible working hours to help you balance your professional and personal life.
- A dedicated mental wellness budget.
- Generous paid time off to ensure you have time to recharge.
