Principal Software Engineer at ZeroFox

At ZeroFox, we are dedicated to securing the digital-first world by providing world-class protection through our advanced Digital Risk Protection SaaS. We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join our team in Santiago, Chile, to help us innovate and scale our platform that collects and analyzes data from across the internet to disrupt cyber threats.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with experts in security, machine learning, and cyber threat intelligence to engineer the next generation of our platform.
• Deepen your expertise in our microservices architecture and technical stack.
• Research and develop cutting-edge products that enhance customer safety and improve the developer experience.
• Serve as a technical leader by guiding key architectural decisions and mentoring fellow engineers.
• Shape the long-term technical direction of the ZeroFox system.

Must-haves

• Over 8 years of professional software development experience.
• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven ability to build and scale web architectures using AWS.
• Strong understanding of microservices and message-driven architectures.
• A collaborative, communicative mindset with experience thriving in agile environments.
• A track record of acting as a domain expert and mentor who elevates code design and testing standards.
• Fluency in English.

Nice-to-haves

• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, C# .NET Core, or Go.
• Experience with Django or Angular.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes or Nomad.
