Since 2017, Lokalise has been helping businesses transform their localization workflows through our cloud-based management platform. We simplify how companies handle translations for websites, mobile applications, and digital content, ultimately helping them reach global markets faster and more affordably. We are currently looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. In this executive-level role, you will help us build the next generation of AI-powered localization tools while working remotely from anywhere in Europe.
Responsibilities
- Take the lead on designing, building, and launching complex software systems that define our platform's future.
- Establish high-level technical standards, coding guidelines, and best practices to ensure our architecture remains scalable and efficient.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to our engineering teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous professional growth.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Over 8 years of professional software development experience, specifically with a focus on architecture and system design.
- Demonstrated expertise in APIs, message queues, database systems, cloud services, and distributed computing.
- Strong proficiency in DevOps practices, including containerization and the management of CI/CD pipelines.
- Proven leadership experience with a track record of mentoring engineering talent.
- Legal eligibility to work within a European country.
