We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join our team in a full-time, on-site capacity in India. This role is a unique opportunity to shape our technical foundation from the ground up. Because many of our core systems are still in the early stages, you will have significant ownership over the architecture, development processes, and long-term goals of our platform. We need a leader who is just as comfortable writing code as they are guiding strategy, and who is driven by the chance to build scalable systems that protect the data of millions of users worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Architect and build robust infrastructure and services to support our end-to-end product experiences, primarily targeting AWS while remaining flexible for future multi-cloud expansion.
- Develop and maintain high-scale distributed systems capable of performing real-time security analysis on petabyte-scale datasets, moving beyond standard ETL processes to drive advanced user behavior insights.
- Collaborate with our engineering team to design a world-class development lifecycle, establishing the architecture and toolsets that will carry us from initial concept through to secure, efficient delivery.
Requirements
- A degree in computer science or a related field, or an equivalent level of professional experience.
- Over 10 years of dedicated experience in backend development.
- Proven success in shipping and operating high-scale commercial SaaS products.
- Deep technical proficiency in languages such as Python, Java, React, and TypeScript.
- Extensive experience with at least one major public cloud provider, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, along with modern deployment tools like Terraform and containerization.
- A strong grasp of NoSQL persistence systems, core networking, and data transport at scale.
- A comprehensive understanding of industry standards regarding performance, security, privacy, and the full software development lifecycle.
- The ability to navigate ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
