Principal Software Engineer at Akoya

Our platform provides a secure and transparent method for individuals to share their personal financial data with third-party applications. We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time, hybrid basis. Responsibilities

• Develop clean, scalable, and well-documented code designed to handle high-volume traffic while maintaining peak performance.
• Take ownership of medium to large technical projects, ensuring they align with our broader strategic goals and initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the team, which includes conducting thorough code reviews and evaluating technical documentation.

Requirements

We believe in the value of diverse backgrounds and encourage you to apply even if your experience has not followed a traditional path. To be successful in this role, you should possess the following:

• At least 5 years of professional experience in designing and building large-scale distributed systems or infrastructure.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Deep proficiency with Unix/Linux internals, networking, and cloud-based systems.
• An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work autonomously and a strong commitment to delivering an excellent customer experience.
• Familiarity with container architectures like Docker and Kubernetes, AWS production environments, message queues, and observability tools is highly valued.
