We are currently seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join our growing development team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and maintaining high-performance software solutions that directly impact the quality of cardiac care. Key outcomes
- Provide technical leadership by mentoring junior engineers, conducting thorough code reviews, and establishing best practices across our backend services.
- Develop clean, scalable, and maintainable code while optimizing our systems for performance and concurrency.
- Manage the integration of our services with third-party APIs and our broader microservices architecture to ensure seamless data exchange.
- Uphold security and compliance standards to protect sensitive data and maintain system integrity.
- Build comprehensive test suites to ensure the reliability of our platform through unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including designers and customers, to iteratively enhance our platform and ship efficient software solutions.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, teamwork, and high-impact execution.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of professional experience building cloud-based backend services.
- Strong proficiency in Rust and a deep understanding of RESTful APIs.
- Demonstrated experience working with agile methodologies and the Kanban framework.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with a focus on providing constructive feedback and sharing domain knowledge.
- A proactive mindset with experience thriving in fast-paced startup environments.
- Strong technical insight into the healthcare industry, including familiarity with care management or standards like HL7.
Preferred qualifications
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines on AWS and Kubernetes.
- Development experience using Go, Kotlin, or GraphQL.
