What you'll be doing

• You will lead the strategy for our NLP initiatives, focusing on extracting critical information from legal documents and code while driving our broader AI backend development.
• You will design and implement robust, scalable ML solutions by partnering with cross-functional teams and utilizing modern tools like Large Language Models to deliver high-quality features to our customers.
• You will architect systems that balance immediate, scrappy execution with a long-term vision, ensuring our infrastructure remains flexible and efficient as our technology evolves.

What you'll bring

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in building production-grade ML and NLP systems. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• At least 7 years of professional experience in engineering, with a proven ability to deliver complex machine learning solutions.
• Expert-level proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Java.
• A deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles.
• The ability to operate across the full stack, including cloud infrastructure and backend systems.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to influence product direction and mentor team members through empathy and active listening.
• A proactive, hands-on mindset that allows you to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Fluency in English.
