Role at a glance

We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join our team in a full-time capacity. This is an executive-level role where you will help shape the future of our scientific product suite. You will work in a hybrid environment based in the United States, collaborating closely with our scientists and researchers to turn complex biological data into user-friendly software solutions.

Your impact

• Take ownership of the full development lifecycle, guiding projects from the initial user problem all the way to final value delivery.
• Partner with our cross-functional team of scientists and machine learning researchers to build transformative tools that solve real-world biological challenges.
• Drive our technical direction and software architecture while mentoring others to help foster a high-performing engineering culture.

What you'll need

We are looking for someone who brings at least 8 years of professional experience in full-stack web development. You should be comfortable working in an early-stage startup environment where autonomy and a passion for learning are essential. We value clear communication and a rigorous approach to software craftsmanship.

Your technical toolkit should include:

• Expertise in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with Angular for front-end development.
• Proficiency with Docker and cloud infrastructure on AWS, specifically ECS, EKS, and DynamoDB.
• Experience working with Postgres databases.
• A background in life sciences, biotechnology, or biochemistry is highly preferred.
